Debunking the Myth of Never Filling a Notebook

If you're like me (a stationary addict) you'll no doubt have several notebooks or journals that you've bought intending to fill them ... but never do.
Today (December 11th, 2023) I've finished my first ever notebook! As you can probably tell I'm just a tad proud of myself. But I'm even more proud of the contents of my 184 page notebook.
A lot of you probably know that I'm on a quest to find my Dad's remains and find out the truth about what happened to him and that's exactly what these 184 pages have been used for.
I'm far from finished but I wanted to write all the informtion down in one place, so a person who had no knowledge of what happened could read it. I call it my 'Syria/ISIS for Dummies' notebook. When I'm finished I'll probably have at least three of these notebooks but it's a start.
So far I've written a brief summary of what Islam is, a brief background to Syria and the civil war, as well as describing different major groups that were/are operating there. I felt a brief background to ISIS was necessary along with a profile on who Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was, then it was onto the major abductions in Syria, as well as a profile on all

the hostages involved in my dad's story.
Next up will be a timeline of what actually took place and a summary of the different locations that my Dad was held at. That will probably take up notebook number 2 so stay tuned for that.
